GABRIELLE ROGOFF

Vice Chair

Gabrielle Rogoff serves as the Vice Chair of the Ward 1 Democrats. She has lived in Columbia Heights, Adams Morgan, and now in Mount Pleasant with her husband and their dog. Gabrielle brings a unique combination of policy expertise and local government knowledge to her role as Vice Chair.

Gabrielle’s commitment to public service runs deep. She grew up in a family that played an influential role in Michigan state politics, and early gained an appreciation for the power and responsibility of political parties to shape public life. After graduating from college, she worked for an immigration law firm in St. Louis and at a domestic violence shelter in southeastern Michigan, and then moved to the District to obtain her Masters in Public Policy from Georgetown.

Gabrielle currently serves as the legislative director to an At-Large D.C. Councilmember, and has shaped local laws and programs for over five years through her work in two Councilmembers’ offices.  Her work has focused on education, transportation, housing, and public safety, and her hands-on experience in the Wilson Building has equipped her with an insider’s perspective on how decisions are made in the District.

Outside of work, Gabrielle truly enjoys just bopping around the District. She has a great repertoire of inside-focused hobbies, and is currently seeking a new, outside-of-the-house and non-political hobby, and is actively taking suggestions.
