Certain precincts held duly noticed special precinct caucus elections to fill existing vacancies among precinct representatives during the Ward One Democrats ward-wide meeting on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026. The special precinct caucus elections were coordinated by the Elections Committee and conducted by secret ballot. Voting was limited to members in good standing, defined as registered Democrats residing in the affected precinct, pursuant to Article VII, Section 2(b) and Article III of the Bylaws.

Eligibility to Run for Precinct Representative
You qualify to run if you:
are a registered Democrat
live in Ward One
reside in the precinct you want to represent
are properly nominated
Who Can Vote in a Precinct Caucus
You can vote if you:
are a registered Democrat
reside in the affected precinct
properly register at or before the meeting and receive a ballot
How to Become a Candidate
Once an election, caucus, or convention is noticed, candidates are nominated in one of two ways*:
Nomination by Form: Submitting a Precinct Representative Advanced Nomination Form constitutes a nomination.
Nominations from the Floor: When nominations are opened at the caucus, an eligible voter may nominate an eligible candidate (including self-nomination).
*Nominations do not establish eligibility. All nominees must meet the eligibility requirements for precinct representative. Candidate presence is not required to be nominated or elected. Voters must be present and properly registered to cast a ballot.
How to Check the Status of Your Nomination
Advanced nominations received online will be posted starting one week from election day.
