Ward One Democrats collects information needed to communicate with members and supporters, verify membership eligibility, organize meetings and events, process donations, and comply with applicable law.

This information may include names, contact information, addresses, precinct information, event registrations, volunteer signups, donation information, and information needed to confirm that a person is a registered Democrat in Ward One.

Ward One Democrats uses this information for official organizational purposes, including meeting notices, membership records, event registration, voter and member engagement, fundraising, compliance, and internal administration.

Ward One Democrats does not sell personal information.

The membership list of Ward One Democrats will not be distributed to candidates, organizations, or other individuals.

Ward One Democrats may use public voter-registration information, including information available through the D.C. Board of Elections, to verify eligibility and conduct lawful voter and member engagement.

Ward One Democrats may share information only with authorized officers, volunteers, committees, vendors, or service providers helping conduct official work; when required for campaign-finance, election, tax, accounting, legal, or compliance purposes; or when required by law.

Ward One Democrats will not voluntarily disclose personal information to government authorities, law enforcement, or immigration authorities unless required by a valid subpoena, warrant, court order, or other binding legal obligation.

Ward One Democrats uses reasonable safeguards to protect personal information. If personal information is involved in a security breach, Ward One Democrats will provide any notices required by D.C. law.

Ward One Democrats may publish bylaws, rules, approved minutes, notices, agendas, reports, resolutions, endorsement results, and other organizational records when authorized, but will avoid publishing unnecessary personal information.
