Purpose

The Ward 1 Democratic Committee calls a ward-wide meeting of all Ward One Democrats to: 

No other business will be taken up, pursuant to Robert’s Rules of Order, Newly Revised (12th ed.), §9:15.

Eligibility & Procedure

This meeting is open to all registered Democrats residing in Ward 1 in Washington, D.C. A quorum for a ward-wide meeting consists of twenty-five (25) members in good standing, including at least three (3) officers, as required under Article VI of the Ward One Democrats By-laws.

This notice is issued by authority of the Chair of the Ward One Democrats, at the direction of the Ward 1 Democratic Committee and in compliance with the By-laws and the adopted parliamentary authority, Robert’s Rules of Order Newly Revised (12th Edition).

Order of Business

The expected order of business for the meeting is:

  1. Call to Order

  2. Approval of Minutes

  3. Reports of the Officers

  4. Reports of the By-laws Committee
    The assembly will consider amendments to the bylaws to make clerical corrections, authorize electronic meetings, and allow flexibility in the scheduling of special elections. See a red-line document incorporating all recommendations.

  5. Filling of Vacant Precinct Representative Seats
    The Elections Committee is conducting special precinct caucuses to fill precinct representative vacancies.

  6. Discussion on Ward One Democrats’ Role in the D.C. Primary Election

  7. Announcements

  8. Adjournment
