Notice is hereby given that the Ward One Democrats will hold a ward-wide meeting to present a candidate forum as follows:

4:00 p.m. - Forum Concludes

This is a ward-wide event open to all registered Democrats residing in Ward 1, Washington, D.C.
The purpose of the meeting is to conduct a candidate forum for candidates for Ward 1 Member of the Council of the District of Columbia and Democratic State Committee (Ward 1) in advance of the 2026 Democratic primary.

We Want to Hear from You!
In June, the Democratic voters of Ward 1 will choose their nominee for the DC Council Ward 1 seat and elect two Democratic State Committeemen for Ward 1 and two Democratic State Committeewomen for Ward 1.
This forum will challenge these candidates with questions reflecting the needs, priorities, and interests of Ward 1.
Participation is limited to candidates who have completed the Ward One Democrats candidate questionnaire on or before March 14, 2026. Candidate replies will be published promptly after the submission deadline.
It is our duty to provide a framework for an expression of the public will and to ensure that this public expression is also one that reflects the diversity of our community. So we want to hear from you: what questions should we ask? Let us know by submitting a question for consideration. While we can’t guarantee every question will be asked, we will strongly consider every submission. Thank you!
